Corona del Mar Beach

Corona del Mar State Beach

Corona del Mar (CdM) is a popular half-mile long beach owned by the state and managed by the city of Newport Beach. The beach provides visitors with a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean and a wide sandy shoreline, making it an ideal place for swimming, sunbathing, and surfing. The beach is also a perfect spot for families, as it has various barbecue and picnic areas where they can enjoy a fun day out.  The beach has various amenities, including restrooms, showers, and ample parking.

Corona del Mar State Beach is also a popular location for photographers and nature enthusiasts due to its beautiful rock formations and stunning sunsets. The location is framed by cliffs with tide pools to the south and a rock jetty to the north that forms the east entrance to Newport Harbor.  It offers plenty of amenities and waters are often a bit calmer than other ocean facing beaches in Newport due to the protective jetty.

Visitors can walk along the urban boardwalk and take in the scenery while enjoying the fresh ocean air. The location is also near an array of shops and restaurants, offering visitors plenty of dining and shopping choices.
