Heisler Park History

Originally planned as a subdivision in the early 1900s, Heisler Park is now a local favorite with amazing ocean views, picnic areas, public art, and access to several beaches. The park land was deeded to the county by Howard G. Heisler and his wife in 1924, transferred to the City of Laguna Beach in 1931, and then formally dedicated as a park in 1932. The park is named after Heisler’s wife, Lucinda Jane Heisler.
