Huntington State Beach
A state operated beach with 121 acres of sand beach, an 8 plus mile trail, and plenty of parking, vendors and facilities, this is a very popular beach destination. Surfers, bikers, runners, sun bathers, and families can all be seen here on one of those perfect endless summer days.
Huntington State Beach is a venue for many events from concerts to fun runs. The beach is also home to several popular events such as the U.S. Open of Surfing, which attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Huntington State Beach Rules and Regulations
- No camping at the state beach. See nearby Bolsa Chica SB for campsites.
- Fires in fire rings only. Fire rings are first come first serve.
- No charcoal grills allowed. Coal and wood allowed only in fire rings. You may bring your own propane grill.
- No alcohol allowed, unless approved with a special event permit.
- No balloons (this goes for almost all beaches now)
- Park hours: 6 AM to 10 PM
- Dogs not allowed on the beach/sand. Allowed on leash on the trail.
